Even if it feels like almost every company now claims to be saving the world (keyword "greenwashing"), we want to use this platform and our reach to draw attention to projects we support objectively and without judgment, with the goal that perhaps a few more supporters will join. So how did we acquire over 500 square meters of forest in South America? The answer is: with "The Generation Forest."
The Generation Forest is a cooperative dedicated to reforestation to protect forests and promote biodiversity in the long term. The initiative was founded with the vision of combating the progressive loss of forests and natural habitats by restoring and preserving near-natural forests. Generation Forest specifically promotes the reforestation of mixed forests in tropical regions, which have a positive impact on the climate, biodiversity, and local communities.
A central goal of Generation Forest is not just to plant trees, but to create forests that last permanently and offer sustainable economic benefits. To achieve this, they use permaculture and forestry methods to create stable ecosystems modeled on nature.
