5 Questions for Ken from Jupiduu

Today I, Ken, am here to answer the most frequently asked questions from our community. So let's get started...

Question 1 - Where is it more stressful, at the office or at home?

At home, of course! I have three active boys literally jumping around at home. To be honest, the noise level at times is exhausting. In the office, on the other hand, it's quiet and Kai and I don't talk about the oasis of calm for nothing when it comes to our office. I hope my wife isn't reading this [laughs].

Question 2 - How has working at the company changed since you became a father?

We founded the company in 2014 and my first son, Kilian, was born in 2017. Looking back, not much has changed. The aim of producing exceptional products for children is unchanged. As a father or parent, you are probably a little more sensitive to the issue of safety because you see first hand that children don't use many toys as intended. As a father, you therefore think a little further when it comes to product safety.

Question 3 - What is it like working with your brother all day?

As mentioned above, this is very relaxing. On the one hand, Kai and I complement each other well, and on the other hand, since childhood, we have hardly ever argued. This is of course an advantage when you run a company together and have to make many important decisions together.

Question 4 - Facebook or Instagram?

So, in my private life, I check Facebook every now and then. The Instagram app won't let me log in with my Facebook or Meta login details anymore, I have no idea where the problem lies. I've left it like that for the last two years because, to be honest, I'm not a huge social media user.

At Jupiduu we focus on Instagram, but Facebook is also an important advertising channel for us. Tim, who does social media for us, sometimes forces me in front of the camera for reels and stories (I still don't understand the difference to this day ;-)). To be honest, that takes a bit of courage every time because I don't like being the center of attention. On the other hand, I really enjoy talking about Jupiduu and what we do, so Tim convinces me at irregular intervals to record a video again.

Question 5 - When is child number 4 due?

Haha, that's a very good question! My children are currently 2, 5 and 6 years old and I can speak for my wife and me that the time since child number 3 was the most stressful time in our lives so far. At the moment everything is getting a bit easier again. The little one sleeps through the night more or less, the big one is at school, but everyday life with 3 children is still incredibly fulfilling but also really demanding, so we need to regenerate again. And then we'll see what the future brings for us...
